AssetWise: Improve operational performance, safety, and compliance of infrastructure assets.
Complimentary live eSeminar Series from Bentley. The oil & gas industry has experienced increased regulatory scrutiny, increases and fluctuations in the price of raw materials (including oil), more complex projects, and rapid development of new environmental technologies. To keep pace the industry is pushed to build new facilities in growing markets, revamp existing plants in mature markets, and get them operational as quickly as possible.
Join us to learn how Bentley's AssetWise offers a complete interoperable portfolio of products and services that incorporate industry specific information models to improve the lifecycle management and operational performance, safety, compliance, and governance of infrastructure assets.
The latest release of Intergraph Smart 3D solutions – SmartPlant 3D, SmartMarine 3D, and SmartPlant 3D Materials Handling Edition – will be the subject of the next GetSmart! Webinar Series installment taking place Tuesday, September 27th . This free webinar will be held twice to accommodate different time zones.
In today's market environment, plant engineering companies are faced with increased competition for projects from not only the traditional regional competitors but increasingly now from international competitors. Additionally, their customers are pushing them to reduce project pricing and to accept compressed project schedules. To assist plant engineering companies in meeting these tough challenges profitably, Siemens Industry Software is making available a new COMOS Front End Engineering Bundle that will help them streamline their work processes.
In the webinar, we will discuss some of the major challenges project teams face while working on front-end engineering and design projects. We will show the key benefits of the new COMOS Front End Engineering bundle and how it addresses the major challenges which arise during conceptual design and FEED. Finally, we will show how Siemens COMOS is the premier suite of tools to help globally dispersed project teams arrive at an optimum FEED concept for projects of any size or complexity.
During this webinar, you will:
•Understand the true business value offered by Siemens’ World Class Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Solution from COMOS
•See how this solution simplifies collaborative engineering using global resources
•Learn how Siemens COMOS provides for integrated process flow diagrams (PFD) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) development and organization
Automate and Manage your I&C Design Documentation
Increase Your Efficiency using AutoCAD P&ID and Instrument Manager
Are you looking at ways to automate and manage your I&C design documentation? Most instrumentation projects require the same type of documentation – loops, lists, schedules etc. - but rarely in exactly the same format. Typically, those involved in a project’s design will work independently on constantly evolving P&IDs or Excel files for instrument lists, cable schedules, termination details, and I/O lists. The CAD drafter will then attempt to consolidate this information in drawing format. It can be quite a process for all involved to be working from the same page and to provide accurate and up to date data.
SCADA Systems, an Autodesk development partner for close to 20 years, provides an instrument design and management solution that shares data from AutoCAD’s intelligent P&ID software, AutoCAD P&ID, on an SQL platform to create drawings, datasheets, and reports.
Viewers will learn that using AutoCAD P&ID and Instrument Manager will allow users to:
• Create a Centralized project management / reference system
• See how a smart AutoCAD / database solution provides data consistency and accuracy
• Generate major productivity gains using automated design documentation
• Quickly generate output deliverables such as loop, hookups, wiring diagrams, datasheets
• Easily Customize all output documents to end-client standards including instrument index, I/O lists, cable schedules
• Design projects quickly and intuitively
• Work with system and output files based on familiar and future-proof file formats ie AutoCAD, Excel, SQL Server
LDAR Compliance Made Easy - Using AutoCAD P&ID to facilitate compliance
The Clean Air Act in the United States requires that operators of petroleum refineries, chemical plants, and many manufacturing facilities develop leak detection and repair (LDAR) programs. Traditionally, most operators have relied on manually intensive processes to manage their LDAR programs and the records required to demonstrate compliance. Even when they follow their LDAR programs diligently, many operators lack confidence in their degree of compliance. This is due to the fact that manual LDAR compliance processes often cannot keep pace with changes that occur at many facilities.
Environmental intellect (Ei), an environmental and safety compliance software provider, has developed a technology that uses intelligent piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to enable more efficient and automated LDAR compliance.
With AutoCAD® P&ID software powering the intelligent P&IDs, Ei’s solution allows facilities to:
• Automatically highlight P&IDs to show regulated equipment
• Generate real-time compliance calculations and reports
• Manage facility changes in compliance processes in real-time
• Link maintenance, operational, and design systems to compliance processes
• Save time and money while improving the reliability of LDAR processes and documentation
• Reduce fugitive emissions and benefit the environment
• Improve corporate wellness and public relations
