The further we go from shore, the bigger are the challenges to be overcome. This presentation will discuss how real-time data and simulation techniques can be used to reduce both the operational risks as well as operating costs for
installations in ultra-deep water sites. The Cascade and Chinook projects will serve as examples, and will bring the Gulf of Mexico the first FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Off-loading) facility as well as other concepts widely used abroad, but not used in America yet.
Real-time operation and surveillance tools will speed up the decision making process and allow company experts to participate in supporting local teams.
